Candy Moloi, Vho Makhadzi on Muvhango Dies
South Africa has lost yet another veteran actor as Candy Moloi dies. 2020 is nothing but a disastrous year that has left many gaps and voids that will never be filled again.
She is the mother of actress Lerato Zah Moloi.
In recent weeks, the country had to deal with the death of Mary Twala, the mother of entertainer Somizi Mhlongo. Apart from Mary, a host of entertainers, activists and popular individuals such as Zindzi Mandela, DJ Paper707, Andrew Mlangeni and many more have passed away.
Candy Moloi dies
Candy Moloi played the original Vho Makhadzi on SABC2’s soapie Muvhango. In 2014, she played the role of MaModumedi in the mini-series “Death of a Queen.”
Candy won the 2009 SAFTA Award for best-supporting actress in a TV soapie for her role on Muvhango. Candy’s passing away was confirmed by Muvhango boss Duma Ndlovu.
Her death was received with grief by fans. “South African film industry has lost a legendary actress here,” wrote one person.

There is no doubt that RIP is one of the leading phrases this year due to the increasing number of deaths of both ordinary and popular people.
In other sad news, Mandla Sindane aka Mgijimi, a well-known Orlando Pirates staunch supporter passed away. His death was confirmed by the Orlando Pirates.

Although Mgijimi was a Buccaneer, his death is a big blow to football and the sporting industry. Mgijimi’s passed away at home and his body was discovered by his father.

Football presenter Robert Marawa paid his tribute to the fallen fan. “He loved his football so much…He dearly loved his Orlando Pirates with all his heart and would travel countrywide to watch his beloved team,” wrote Marawa.
