SA rapper Zakwe in US

Ntokozo Zakwe is on tour in the United States of America, which is his first time.

The South African rapper will be performing in Washington DC, New York and Raleigh.

The star excitedly told Zimoja that it was his first time on tour in the US. “Ngiyaqala ngqa! (It’s my first time ever).”

“They loved what I have been doing in KZN for the Hip Hop community as an underground events planner and musician,” he said.

“They hit me up to see if I’d be interested in learning more about the culture, the origin of Hip Hop in the USA, and how their artists make it with rap music.”

Zakwe said he feels blessed as all tour expenses were catered for by the US embassy, because of his involvement with young upcoming talent.

“It’s a stamp of approval, that the Hip Hop movement I have started is going far,” he said.
