Chiefs’ PSL Title Hopes Rest on These Four Signings

Kaizer Chiefs have had a busy season with over 10 new signings, and it’s already paying off for the team. Players like Siphesihle Ndlovu, Flavio Silva, and Lebohang Maboe have been instrumental in helping Amakhosi secure a third-place finish in the Betway Premiership.

After five difficult seasons, the Glamour Boys are finally showing signs of progress under co-coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze. However, it’s still unclear if the duo will be at the club next season.

For Amakhosi, continuity is key, and with a few quality additions, they could become genuine title contenders next season. Amakhosi could emerge as a strong team with the right signings.

Strengthening the Team

Here are four players Kaizer Chiefs should consider signing ahead of next season. One of them is Seluleko Mahlambi, the 21-year-old TS Galaxy winger who has had a breakthrough campaign, scoring six goals and providing five assists in 28 league matches.

Mahlambi’s pace, directness, and creativity would add much-needed depth to Chiefs’ attack. As the team currently relies heavily on Asanele Velebayi, Wandile Duba, and Glody Lilepo in wide areas, Mahlambi would be an ideal addition.

Another player to consider is Fawaaz Basadien, the talented left-back who has struggled for game time since his high-profile move to Mamelodi Sundowns. A move to Kaizer Chiefs could help revive his career and provide Amakhosi with a quality option on the left flank.

Tshegofatso Mabasa is also a potential signing, having already signed former Orlando Pirates duo Paseka Mako and Thabiso Monyane. Chiefs could once again dip into the Buccaneers market for Mabasa, who is set to become a free agent at the end of the season.

Lastly, Devin Titus has consistently troubled Kaizer Chiefs whenever they have faced Stellenbosch FC. Instead of suffering more headaches against him, Amakhosi may be better off bringing the dangerous attacker to Naturena.

Future Prospects

With the right signings, Kaizer Chiefs could have a strong team next season. Amakhosi will be looking to build on their current progress and make a push for the title.
