Celebrated musician Jonathan Butler and kwaito pioneer Oskido will both receive the Order of Ikhamanga in Silver for their contributions to South Africa’s music industry and cultural development. Anti-apartheid activists Jack Simons and Ray Alexander Simons will be awarded the Order of Luthuli in Gold posthumously for their role in the liberation struggle and contributions to the fight against apartheid.
