Cyberpunk 2077 released earlier this month and has met a ton of problems and disappointment by players. The Game launched full of bugs and glitches, especially on the Old Generation of Consoles (Playstation 4 and Xbox One.
Days passed, Sony and CD Projekt Red came to conclusion to Remove the Game on Playstation Store, an act that took effect today.
Sony Interactive Entertainment has confirmed it will give players of Cyberpunk 2077 on PS4 (or on PS5 via backward compatibility) refunds for purchasing the game. But the platform holder is taking things a step further and actually removing Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store for digital purchase “until further notice.”
In a newly posted refund-related page, SIE confirmed its intentions to offer full refunds to all players who purchased Cyberpunk via the PS Store, while also committing to delisting the game for the time being. The company’s full statement reads:
“Sony strives to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, therefore we will begin to offer a full refund for all gamers who have purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store. Sony will also be removing Cyberpunk 2077 from PlayStation Store until further notice.
“Once we have confirmed that you purchased Cyberpunk 2077 via PlayStation Store, we will begin processing your refund. Please note that completion of the refund may vary based on your payment method and financial institution.”
CD Projekt Red announcement comes after the messy and buggy release of Cyberpunk 2077, which included a significant performance gap between the PC and PS4/Xbox One versions of the game, resulting in the game being removed from Sony Playstation Store.
Starting today, everyone who is not willing to wait for updates and wants to refund their digital copy of the game can do so by submitting a request at:
