Chiefs Aim to Finish Season on a High Note in Durban

Kaizer Chiefs Look to End Season on a High Note

The Kaizer Chiefs are set to wrap up their 2025/26 Betway Premiership campaign on a positive note when they host Chippa United at the Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday, 23 May. The Amakhosi are riding high on confidence after securing a top-three finish with a hard-fought 1-0 win over AmaZulu FC last weekend.

Best Season in Years

With 54 points from 29 matches, Kaizer Chiefs are already guaranteed a third-place finish. A win on Saturday would see them equal their best tally since the 2019/20 season, with 57 points. This achievement would be a significant milestone for the team, especially considering their title win in 2015.

Chippa United’s Relegation Battle

For Chippa United, the stakes remain high as they battle to avoid the promotion-relegation playoffs. Currently sitting 13th on the log with 25 points from 29 matches, a strong finish is crucial to secure their safety. Newly appointed coach Brandon Truter will be hoping to inspire a positive result against Kaizer Chiefs.

Match Details

The match kicks off at 15:00 on Saturday, with tickets available at R60 through Computicket, Shoprite, and Checkers outlets nationwide. Kaizer Chiefs will be without influential winger Glody Makabi Lilepo, who is suspended after receiving a second yellow card in the win over AmaZulu.
