With Mother’s Day just around the corner, the Johannesburg Zoo is gearing up to celebrate the special women in our lives with a unique musical event. This iconic zoo, which recently turned 122 years old, is pulling out all the stops to make this holiday one to remember for moms and their families.

Celebrating Moms in Style

The zoo’s premises, located at the corner of Jan Smuts Avenue and Upper Park Drive in Parkview, Johannesburg, will be the venue for this exciting event. It will take place on Sunday, 10 May 2026, from 10:00 to 16:00. For those attending, secure parking is available at Zoo Parkade, Zoo Lake, and Upper Park Drive.

Tickets for the event are priced at R150 for adults, while pensioners and children aged three to 12 can attend for R80. These tickets can be purchased from http://www.webtickets.co.za.

A Star-Studded Lineup

According to the City of Johannesburg, the concert promises to deliver a diverse range of music, from soulful melodies to upbeat pop, and from kasi soul to orchestral brilliance. The lineup includes a talented array of artists, such as Ami Faku, Bongi Archi, Chubby Cheeks, Giselle Niemand, LaSauce, Matthew Mole, Phoebe Mxgagi, Richard Cock with the Phoenix Orchestra, and The Soil.
