Once in a while, a ray of sunshine comes through and gives us a glimmer of hope. Actress and singer Simphiwe Ngema showed off a baby bump in an Instagram post today to her 1.7 million followers.

In the post, the star acknowledged that there is a God in heaven. Such words are mainly uttered when one is happy beyond their expectations.

“Indeed there is a God in Heaven. He wiped away my tears and gave me joy in abundance. You’ve brought hope and purpose to my life.”

She then continued by thanking the father of her unborn child, Tino Chinyani, a Zimbabwean model.

“@tino_chinyani I will be forever grateful to you for this beautiful gift and teaching me how to love again. I love you both with all my heart.”

Simphiwe rose to fame a few years  ago when she got a gig as Thuli Nkosi on the soapie Muvhango. As she continued to rise, tragedy knocked on her door when her husband and fellow actor Dumi Masilela was killed in a hijacking gone wrong.

They had only been married for a few months when Dumi passed away.

Tweeps react to Simphiwe’s pregnancy

As expected, the news of her pregnancy was well received on social media. The majority of users are wishing her nothing but happiness given what she has gone through.

“I think we can all agree that Simphiwe’s Ngema’s pregnancy and finding love again is one of the best news of 2020,” wrote a Twitter user with the handle @KingmeNutty.

Another user wrote that she deserves to be happy.

We all want to be happy. And sometimes, that happiness comes from the joy of others. Let’s celebrate Simphiwe’s happiness and wish her all the best.

“She deserves it all,” wrote another user. “Seeing her happy and being loved and giving love again, is heart warming.”
