Tropika Island 12th Season Filmed in La Réunion

La Réunion Wins Bid to Host Tropika Island Of Treasure Season 12

After an extensive search across the globe, La Réunion has been chosen as the destination for the 12th season of Tropika Island Of Treasure. This island, located in the Indian Ocean, boasts dramatic natural beauty, pristine beaches, and a rich culture, making it an ideal location for the show.

A Perfect Blend of Nature and Culture

La Réunion’s unique blend of lush tropical forests, volcanic peaks, and crystal-clear coastlines will provide a spectacular backdrop for the upcoming season. The island’s proximity to South Africa, just a four-hour flight from Johannesburg, was also a major factor in its selection.

Season 2 winner and All Stars contestant Shashi Naidoo, who had the opportunity to visit La Réunion during Tropika Island Search, is thrilled with the decision. She believes the island has everything needed for an incredible season, from its challenging terrain to its cinematic landscapes.

A Thrilling Season Ahead

According to Shashi Naidoo, “The competitor in me is so happy that the island I scoped out on Tropika Island Search won and that the new season will be filmed in La Réunion. It has everything needed for an incredible season. Having been through the intensity of the challenges myself, I know that the terrain and the spirit of La Réunion are going to push our Season 12 contestants to their absolute limits while providing a backdrop that is nothing short of cinematic.”

With the destination now confirmed, the countdown to the new season has begun. Although auditions are now closed, the search for the next million-rand winner is only just getting started. Tropika Island Of Treasure Season 12 will premiere on S3 later this year.
