Get ready for an unforgettable experience as Comic Con Cape Town makes its return this April. This highly anticipated event promises to bring together gaming enthusiasts, pop culture fans, and cosplay creatives from all over for an exciting celebration of all things geek.
Discover the Ultimate Pop Culture Festival
As the largest pop culture and gaming festival in Cape Town, Comic Con Cape Town is set to take over the Mother City for its fourth year. The event will transform the Cape Town International Convention Centre 2 in Foreshore into a vibrant pop culture paradise, offering attendees a unique opportunity to dive into the world of comics, cartoons, cinema, and more, all with a distinctive Mzansi twist.
Comic Con Cape Town will run from Thursday, 30 April 2026, to Sunday, 3 May 2026, with doors opening at 09:00 and closing at 18:00 each day. Tickets are available for purchase from Howler, although the 4-Day Pass has already sold out. Don’t worry, though – you can still get your hands on a Day Pass or a Super Fan Pass, with prices starting from R230 for a Day Pass and R1,550 for the Super Fan Pass, which includes two general access tickets for the day of your choice.
Explore a World of Fandoms and Family Fun
The event promises to deliver an exciting experience for the whole family, with plenty of opportunities for interaction with fellow fans from different fandoms. The convention centre will be divided into several areas, including the Pop Culture Hall, Experience Hall, and Outdoor Area, where you can explore various exhibitor stands, such as Artist Alley and Cosplay Central. Here, you’ll have the chance to meet local creators, buy their merchandise, and enjoy a range of activities, from e-sports tournaments and tabletop gaming to activations and the Kidscon Zone for younger fans.

Meet Your Favourite Celebrities and Artists
Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet some of their favourite celebrities, artists, and influencers, including Evanna Lynch, known for her role as Luna Lovegood in the Harry Potter film franchise, Jason Liebrech, a renowned American voice actor, John Romita Jr., a legendary American comics artist, Bill Masuku, a talented Zimbabwean comics artist and writer, and Yaya Han, a stunning American model and cosplayer, among many others.
A Celebration of Fandom and Community
Comic Con Cape Town is more than just a fan convention – it’s a celebration of South Africa’s vibrant fandom culture, encompassing comics, films, games, and exceptional cosplay. It’s a space where fans can come together, have fun, and feel a sense of belonging, which is especially important in today’s world.
