Ntokozo Mbambo and Nqubeko Mbatha, a well-known gospel power couple, recently celebrated their 18th wedding anniversary. On 18 May, they expressed their love for each other by posting heartfelt tributes on Instagram.
Their marriage is not just about romance; they also produce music together under the record label Koko Music, which is co-owned by Nqubeko. The couple has three children, whom they have intentionally kept out of the spotlight, as previously reported
.The musical duo shared their charming love story, which began in the early 2000s. Ntokozo, a SAMA award-winning artist, wrote, “In 2001, a 15-year-old girl took a picture with a boy, not knowing that he would change her life forever. She didn’t know he was God’s perfect plan for her life.”
She added, “18 years of marriage later, it feels like our love story has just begun @nqbkm. We practically grew up together & I wouldn’t have it any other way.” Ntokozo also expressed her love, saying, “My love for you knows no end & knows no bound. Happy Anniversary, husband of my youth.”
Nqubeko also penned a sweet message, saying, “This walk feels sweeter and sweeter with each step we take together. I love you forever, baby. Happy 18th Anniversary.”
Ntokozo and Nqubeko’s love story began as a friendship, which eventually blossomed into a romantic relationship. They met while working at the iconic gospel ensemble Joyous Celebration, where they kick-started their careers.
The couple collaborated on a song called Nothing Is Impossible during the recording of Joyous 13 at the Mosaeik Theatre in 2009. In a behind-the-scenes interview, Nqubeko jokingly admitted that he felt intimidated by performing a duet with his wife, saying “uyacula phela losisi” [she sings really well].

Ntokozo and Nqubeko are proud parents and a successful musical duo. Their love story is a testament to the power of true love and partnership. As they celebrate their 18th anniversary, they continue to inspire their fans with their love and music.
