Janet Jackson’s ‘Rhythm Nation’ Gets Grammy Hall of Fame Nod

Janet Jackson Set to Appear at Grammy Hall of Fame Gala

Janet Jackson, the youngest of the ten Jackson siblings, is expected to make an appearance as her album Rhythm Nation 1814 is inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. The 59-year-old released this highly successful album in 1989, her fourth studio album, to great reception, with over 12 million sales worldwide at the time.

Grammy Hall Of Fame Honourees

Jackson will be joined by other Grammy Hall Of Fame honourees, including Lucinda Williams, Heart, Alice Coltrane, Nick Drake, 2Pac, Radiohead, Selena, Funkadelic, Eric B & Rakim, Bertha “Chippie” Hill, Ella Jenkins, The Rouse Brothers, and The Soul Stirrers. Their albums, such as Cars Wheels on a Gravel Road, Dreamboat Annie, Journey in Satchidananda, Pink Moon, All Eyez On Me, OK Computer, Amor Prohibido, Maggot Brain, Paid In Full, Trouble In Mind, You’ll Sing A Song And I’ll Sing A Song, Orange Blossom Special, and Jesus Gave Me Water, will also be inducted.

Norah Jones to Receive Architect of Sound Award

Norah Jones is also set to receive the Ray Charles Architect of Sound Award at the gala. According to reports

, this award is a prestigious honour in the music industry.

Harvey Mason Jr, CEO of the Recording Academy, said, “It’s a privilege to recognize these eclectic recordings as the 2026 Grammy Hall Of Fame inductees. Each selection reflects the creativity, craft, and cultural impact that recorded music can carry across decades. We’re honoured to help preserve these works and celebrate the artists and communities behind them, so their legacies continue to inspire generations to come.”

The gala, hosted by Anthony Mason, will take place on 8 May in Beverly Hills, California, reports Variety. Jackson, along with other notable artists, will be attending this prestigious event.
