Kaizer Chiefs’ Big Moves

Kaizer Chiefs’ Big Moves

It seems Kaizer Chiefs are set to part ways with co-coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze in the coming weeks, once the season comes to a close.

The duo took over after Nasreddine Nabi was dismissed mid-season and did a commendable job, helping Amakhosi secure a third-place finish in the Betway Premiership. This is their best league finish since 2020.

Despite earning praise from some fans for the improved results, reports suggest that Chiefs are looking to head in a different direction ahead of next season.

Kaizer Chiefs Eyeing New Coach, Pitso Mosimane a Potential Candidate

Former Mamelodi Sundowns and Al Ahly coach Pitso Mosimane, affectionately known as “Jingles”, has emerged as a leading candidate for the job. Mosimane has been without a club for over a year and recently expressed his openness to taking the position if approached by the Soweto giants.

In addition to the expected coaching changes, Kaizer Chiefs could also undergo a major squad overhaul. Close to 10 players are reportedly facing uncertain futures at Naturena.

Some of the players who could leave at the end of the season include Luke Baartman, George Matlou, Fiacre Ntwari, Bruce Bvuma, Gaston Sirino, Happy Mashiane, Samkelo Zwane, Paseka Mako, and Etiosa Ighodaro.

Amakhosi are expected to strengthen their squad significantly as they prepare for next season’s CAF Confederation Cup campaign, having been eliminated in the group stages this season.

Kaizer Chiefs Transfer News and Future Prospects

One player linked to the Soweto giants is Grant Margeman. However, given that the club already has Siphesihle Ndlou and Sibongiseni Mthethwa, they might not sign the former SuperSport United star.

Looking ahead, Amakhosi will likely aim to mount a stronger challenge and compete for continental glory in the next edition of the CAF Confederation Cup.
